lyrics

All the dogs on the pavement turned up their nose at the silly one’s,
and they run through the kissing-gate, to the garden, so I follow on..

I took myself down to Gallowstree- hooked up a rope and swung in the breeze.
I stayed for a while and I picked up coins, and I carved the belly for you.
And now they’re knocking ‘em down like diamonds, but I put a spell on the ground.
My favourite side was a little closer to home.

All the notes of the sirens, of the city, of the prickly ones,
and the females with their furrowed brow’s looking for me- but I’m not around.

I took myself down to Gallowstree- hooked up a rope and swung in the breeze.
I stayed for a while and I picked up coins, and I carved the belly for you.
And now they’re knocking and breaking ‘em down, but I put a spell on the ground.
My favourite side was a little closer home.
